How can Louise help your family?
For over three decades Louise has worked with families in various settings, including the acute care of hospitalisation, attendance at community- based healthcare facilities and within the homes of families.
As a mother of five children of her own, Louise has a full appreciation of the intricacies, frustration, joy, relentlessness and unconditional love that being a parent can bring.
Louise’s respectful, non-judgemental approach to the complexities of family life makes her a popular choice for assistance amongst families who are experiencing difficulties along their parenting journey.
Louise works with families in the latter stages of pregnancy, infancy, toddlerhood, preschooler and early primary years. Louise is currently not offering in-home services to families, but is now consulting at The Centre for Perinatal Health & Parenting in Winter Valley, Victoria.
Families travel from all over Victoria to access Louise’s knowledge and expertise for their family and she offers FaceTime/Phone consultations for families living further afield throughout Australia.
Having worked in the fields of infant mental health, child health and development, and early parenting since 1982, Louise's expertise is highly regarded not only by the hundreds of families she has helped but also the industry's professionals.
Louise can help your family when you have concerns with any of the following:
The parent-infant attachment relationship
Infant and child sleep and settling

Early childhood nutrition

What can you expect from the first session?
Louise allows plenty of time for the first in-office visit or phone consultation, knowing that telling your family story can't be rushed. She then assesses the circumstances and provides consistent information and strategies to address your particular concerns. Louise will recommend strategies, write referrals as deemed appropriate, help you map out future sessions and often provides written information and website references to help you find out even more.
